"What is the bravest thing you've ever said?"
"Help."
- Charlie Mackesy
If you’ve found your way here, you may be navigating a season of questions or exploration.
Perhaps you’re looking for support for yourself, your child, or someone you care deeply about.
Or perhaps you're just interested in learning more about my work.
Whatever has brought you here, welcome.
I’m Candice, an art therapist based in Singapore.
I believe in the wonders and healing potential of art. I also believe that meaningful change can happen within relationships where we feel safe enough to be ourselves and where our stories are met with care and empathy. And it is through this process that we discover new ways of understanding ourselves and our experiences.
I hope these pages help you get a sense of who I am and the values that guide my practice.
Most of all, I hope they help you discover if I may be the right person to walk alongside you, your loved ones, or your professional journey. Whether you're seeking support, exploring collaboration, or learning more about psychology, I am glad our paths have crossed.

Art isn't the goal.
The relationship is. The artwork becomes another way for us to listen.

What is art therapy?
I always begin with this sentence...
"When I'm so used to fighting battles,
I forget my hands can do gentler things."
For me, that's what art therapy offers, a space where we can slow down, create without expectation, and move forward without needing to have all the answers.
Sometimes our hands reveal grief, sometimes hope, sometimes they hold just enough safety for us to meet ourselves with a little more compassion.
Is art therapy right for me when I'm not sure what I'm feeling?
I am not here to convince you that art therapy works.
I want to invite you into an experience.
Many people come to therapy believing they need to know what they are feeling before they begin. In my experience, the opposite is often true.
I have sat beside people as they searched for the right words, and I have guided them to trust that meaning sometimes arrives slowly.
Often, it is through creating, noticing, and reflecting together that our emotions gradually become clearer.
As you consider whether art therapy is the right fit for you, having a therapist you feel comfortable with matters. It can also be helpful to check that your therapist holds a master's degree in art therapy and is registered with a recognised professional body.
